Pointers For Removing Insects From Your Grass

There are dozens of insects that, in large numbers, can affect the appearance of the lawn. Even if some of them are normally beneficial to the grass, when their number gets out of control, they can cause destruction of parts of the lawn.

Liquid Fertilizer Removing Insects

It is advisable to pay attention to any change you notice in your lawn: small mounds of soil, portions with yellow grass or even without grass etc. Specialists recommend taking measures as soon as you suspect an insect infestation, to protect the lawn and avoid further damage, and to also apply a known organic liquid fertilizer to enrich your lawn.

Here are the most dangerous insects for the lawn and how to get rid of them.

 Mole cricket

There are insecticides on the market in the form of granules, which are ingested by mole cricket. Shortly after ingestion, the insect dies. If the attack is intensive, treatment can be repeated every 1-2 days.

Ants

You can spread their colony with a rake. If the problem persists, it is advisable to use a proper insecticide from a specialized store.

 Beetle larvae

Larvae that appear during spring grazing should be collected and removed. If you cannot stop the reproduction and laying of the eggs it is advisable to use special insecticides.

Tipula padulosa

In this case you need to use a chemical method to get rid of these insects. Or, if you don't want to use pesticides, cover the lawn with black plastic during the night, preferably after rain. Larvae will come to the surface and the next morning you will be able to "collect" them by hand.
